RESERVATIONS
Yes. Since we haul the horses to the park when they are needed, advance reservations are required.

How far in advance do I need to reserve?
We recommend that you make your reservation at least one week in advance whenever possible. However, we occasionally do have cancellations so please feel free to call us to see if we have space. 604-534-3264

Can I reserve my favorite horse?
We love it that you have favorites! And while we cannot guarantee that you will get a particular horse, we will do our best to accommodate requests whenever possible.

What forms of payment do you take?
Currently we are only set up to take cash payments. Taxes are included in the price.

What times do the rides go out?
Generally we schedule most of the rides at 10am, noon or 2pm. We are quite flexible with this schedule though so please ask if there is an alternate time that you are looking for.

What is the maximum number of riders that you can take out at one time?
We can take groups of up to 15 riders at one time. If your group has more than 15 people we would be happy to take your group out at alternating times. Please ask us for more information.

We are open year round. From April 1st until October 31st we are open 7 days a week and during the winter months we are open on request.

RIDES
We are pleased to offer either 1 or 2 hour guided trail rides. The one hour rate is $40 per person and the 2 hour rate is $70 per person. We also offer Specials that can be found by clicking here.

All of our rides take place in Campbell Valley Park which is a designated equestrian park. The trails are well groomed and the scenery is beautiful.

Yes. For the safety of both our customers and our horses, our insurance dictates that all rides must be guided. Having said that though, our guides are a lot of fun and we do our best to adjust each ride to the riders on it. There are lots of places that are good for walking, trotting or cantering (running). We’ll go at your speed.

Do I need to be an experienced rider to go trail riding?
Absolutely not; we have horses to suit all riders and in fact most of our customers are first time riders.

We do not offer formal riding lessons. However, before each ride goes out, we do give riders some basic instruction to assist them on their ride.

CANCELLATIONS
Do I need to cancel my ride if I am not coming?
Yes. We would greatly appreciate it if you would call us if you need to cancel. Ultimately we would like 24 hours notice whenever possible.

Do the rides go out if it’s raining?
Yes, within reason. If it is just sprinkling a little we will generally still go out.

How will I know if my ride is canceled due to the weather?
If the weather happens to be inclement on the day of your ride, we recommend that you give us a call the morning of the ride. We can then let you know what the weather is doing here in Langley and whether the ride will go out or not.

GEAR
Please dress for the weather. Jeans or other long pants are best. Shorts are not recommended.

What if I don’t have cowboy boots?
It isn’t necessary to wear cowboy boots. However, we do recommend that you either wear some sort of boot with a small heel or running shoes. Please do not wear high heels, sandals or flip flops.

Anyone that is under the age of 19 is required to wear a helmet. If you have your own bike helmet you are welcome to bring it along. Alternately you can borrow one of our riding helmets free of charge.

Can I bring my camera or cell phone on the ride?
We recommend that you do not bring anything that you have to hang on to or that might fall out of your pockets.

CHILDREN
How old do children need to be in order to ride on a horse alone?
Once children are 6 years of age they are permitted to ride on a horse on their own.

Can I double my child on the horse I am riding?
No, for safety reasons our insurance does not permit any doubling.

Can I walk along side my child while they are on a horse?
Yes, this is actually called our “Parent Led” ride. With this ride the child is on the horse and a parent or other adult leads the child from the ground. The rate for this ride is $20 per hour and the horse may be shared between 2 or 3 children. The children would take turns riding the horse.

Children that are under the age of 6 are welcome to take part in our Parent Led ride. See above.

GENERAL
Do you have birthday party packages?
Many people do celebrate their birthdays with us. And while we do not have a specific birthday party package, we do have other packages that can be used for birthdays. Please see our Specials page for more info by clicking here.

Can we stop for lunch while on our ride?
Since we are riding on a schedule it is not possible to stop for any extended periods while on your ride. There are however many beautiful picnic areas in the park that you are welcome to use either before or after your ride free of charge.

Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes we do and they may be purchased in nearly any denomination. Send us an e-mail to request a gift certificate.

Do your Gift Certificates expire?
No. The gift certificates do not have an expiry date.

Do you use English or Western saddles?
Currently all of our saddles are Western ones. However if you have your own English saddle you are welcome to bring it along.

Do I need to fill out a waiver before I come?
Yes. Whenever possible we request that you print our waiver and bring it with you on the day of your ride. The waiver can be found by clicking here. There are two versions of the waiver. One is for individuals and the other is for families with multiple riders. Please select the one that is appropriate for you.

I am physically disabled. Can I still ride?
As long as you are able to sit on the horse, we would be happy to assist you with mounting and dismounting.

Some of our group is experienced and some are beginners. Can we all ride together?
Yes. If your group has multiple experience levels you are welcome to ride together. And if you wish to, we will try to allow the more experienced riders to do more advanced riding when possible.

Will our ride be private, or will we be grouped with other people?
This depends on how busy the particular day is. If there aren’t many people riding we may be able to take you on your own but if it is really busy we may need to pair you up with other riders with similar riding experience. If you wish to book a guaranteed private ride you may do so at an additional charge. Please ask us for more info.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP
Yes. Members are permitted to ride for 2 hours every day of the year if they wish.

How many times can I ride in one day?
Members can either take two 1 hour rides or one 2 hour ride each day.

Yes. Annual Memberships can be paid for in monthly installments of $200 per month.

Is the cost reduced if I pay for the whole year in advance?
Yes. If you wish to pay for your annual membership all at once the cost will be reduced to $2000 for the year. This is a savings of $400!

Can I share my package with other people?
When you buy a package it can be used in a variety of ways. You can keep all the rides for yourself or share them amongst friends and family. You can use them all on one ride or split them up over the given time period. For example – you purchase a 6 ride package. You can go on 6 separate rides yourself OR you can go for one ride with 5 other people OR you can go for 3 separate rides and bring a different friend with you each time. The possibilities are endless!
